This is a restrained joint system which is recommended for complex installation comprising ccessories, bends, reducers etc and is designed to sustain high pressure applications. The integral socket and spigot ends with matching tapers are joined with a two component epoxy adhesive as in fig-3 and two pipes with tapered spigot ends are joined with taper coupling using two component epoxy adhesive as in fig-4. In this joint system, no thrust blocks are required since it resists longitudinal forces. It is a rigid joint, as it will not allow any angular deflection.
